TOP-10 LEFTHANDED PITCHING PROSPECTS
LAKELAND, Fla.--From what I’ve seen, it’s a comparatively weak year for prep lefties. No one jumps out as a 1st-round pick at the moment though there is a handful with the potential to emerge as such.
There weren’t any true power left arms in Lakeland. Jessie Biddle (ranked #1) was the only one who threw with consistently average (MLB) velocity for his entire outing while Jeff Harvill (#2) came close. The rest of the group would qualify as finesse pitchers in the present, but several of them have enough projection to become 90+ MPH guys when they’re fully mature.
