Coming into the weekend we knew there was a lot at stake. There were six series involving ranked teams, including a rare No. 1 vs. No. 2 matchup that saw UCLA take on Stanford at Sunken Diamond. UCLA scored double-digit runs in games two and three after losing the first game of the series, doing so against a pitching staff that had the best ERA in all of Division I baseball. As a result UCLA retains the No. 1 position, a position they have now held for nearly a month. Stanford didn't fall far, moving down to sixth given their still plenty-impressive resume of success.

For the second week in a row we have a new No. 2 team. Georgia gets the nod this week after their impressive series victory over Vanderbilt. Georgia moves to 9-3 in the SEC, the best mark in the stacked conference, with no shortage of statement wins.

LSU, East Carolina and Ole Miss all move into the Top 10 as the new Nos. 8-10 teams. Arkansas is right behind them at No. 11. LSU has now beat Mississippi State and Texas A&M on consecutive weekends, East Carolina has won 16 of their last 18 games and already have a commanding lead in the American Athletic Conference, Ole Miss enjoys a big jump up after beating Arkansas and Florida on back-to-back weekends while Arkansas bounced back with a big series win over Auburn.

After spending the entire 2018 regular season – and even heading into the postseason – in the No. 1 position, the Florida Gators are now 4-8 in SEC play, losing three of four weekend series, two of which were sweeps. As a result Florida falls out of the Perfect Game College Top 25 for the first time in a long time.

Outside of NC State, who moves up to No. 4 this week, the ACC continues to be an enigma. North Carolina and Louisville already have series losses to both Clemson and Georgia Tech this season. As a result Georgia Tech is the newest entrant to the rankings, debuting at No. 20, one spot behind the Tigers and just ahead of both the Tar Heels and the Cardinals.

Due to the college basketball national champion Perfect Game College Baseball, and Perfect Game College Softball, will not be on the air this evening. Both programs will return to their normally scheduled time slots a week from today, Monday, April 15, from 9-11 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. to midnight ET on SiriusXM channel 84 ESPNU Radio. Learn more about both programs here.

Also considered: Michigan, Baylor, Florida Atlantic.
