National High School Top 50: March 19

Entering the late stages of March, the Top 10 remains mostly unchanged this week with the only major change being that George County (Miss.) dropped following their first two losses of the season and Blessed Trinity (Ga.) made its way back in at No. 9. In total, six new teams joined the rankings and these Top 50 rankings are sure to see some shake-up following two big national events in the following weeks.

The Boras Classic South kicks off today (Tuesday, March 26) and features 16 of the top teams in Southern California and includes a matchup on opening day of two Top 20 teams between Orange Lutheran and Notre Dame. Next week kicks off USA Baseball's National High School Invitational in Cary, N.C. and will also feature some elite talent and some of the top high school teams in the country. Perfect Game will have you covered at both events as Vincent Cervino and Steve Fiordino will have daily recaps from the Boras Classic while Brian Sakowski and David Rawnsley will provide recaps of all the NHSI action.

Some of the Midwest and Northeast schools have begun to play ball as Christian Brothers College (Mo.) has started off hot with a 5-0 record thus far while some of the Northeast schools are finishing their preseason responsibilities and gearing up for the regular season as the weather warms up. Christian Brothers is the top-ranked Midwest team on the season while Delbarton (N.J.) is the highest ranked Northeast team at No. 10 and will begin regular season play soon.

Milton (Ga.) enters the rankings at No. 38 following a 14-2 start and a roster that is loaded with Division I talent. Brighton (Tenn.) has started undefeated and enter the rankings at No. 41 and is led by Louisville signee Dalton Rushing while Greenbrier (Ark.) is also undefeated at No. 45 being led by underclassman Cayden Wallace (Ark.). Reno (Nev.) has double-digit wins and no losses while making its debut at No. 41 as does Blanchard (Okla.), which opens at No. 35. Mountain View (Idaho) comes in at No. 49, undefeated and fresh off a win over the top team in the state earlier this season in Rocky Mountain (Idaho).
