JUCO Top 25: March 5 | Top 300 JUCO Prospects

It was actually a relatively quiet week on the JUCO front, with several clubs sort of holding serve as expected and not a ton of movement taking place in the rankings. There were some big series and it's excellent to see a lot of the northern schools finally start to get some games under their belts.

Wabash Valley was idle this week and remain at No. 1 almost by default since they couldn't do anything to either hurt or help their case. Northwest Florida State holds firm at No. 2 coming off of a quality week. Walters State remains the No. 3 team in the country, they had a 2-0 week that keeps them among the country's best. College of Southern Nevada, like Wabash Valley, was idle this week and will stay in their previous spot of No. 4. McLennan had a statement of a series win this past week taking three of four from previously-ranked Weatherford and establishing themselves as the team to beat in Region 5.

San Joaquin Delta slipped a spot to No. 6, though that was more of a result of the quality of the McLennan series win than anything else. John A. Logan continues a very strong start to the season and rose a spot to No. 7. The College of Central Florida's 20-game winning streak came to an end this week, but that didn't really slow them down as they now stand at 24-3 overall and as such rose a spot to No. 8. Wallace-Dothan continues to quietly pick up wins in dominating fashion as they are in striking distance of the top five there at No. 9, while a South Mountain sweep of Cochise established them as the team to beat in Arizona right now.

California is starting to take shape as teams start to beat up on each other and two California schools enter the rankings for the first time this week. Orange Coast and Feather River enter the rankings at Nos. 21 and 25, respectively and each have ridden hot starts to the season right into conference play with no signs of slowing down. The other newcomer to the list this week is Jones County, a Mississippi powerhouse who has started off 13-1. They are right behind fellow Mississippians Pearl River, who rose a couple of spots this week after a very quality win over LSU-Eunice.

Rankings are based on games through Sunday, March 10.
