2018 16u PG Tournament All-American Team

 The 16u/2020 age group from this past calendar year is on deck heading into 2019 and we look back to see who some of the top performers were from PG core events. The 2020 class will be watched heavily heading into the next year as they will be the next eligible class to be drafted after the 2019 MLB Draft. Fifteen players repeat from last year’s list including Roberto Moya, Jordan Walker, Enrique Bradfield, Trejyn Fletcher, Cj Kayfus, Brody Drost, Trey Gibson, Patrick Holloman, Ryan Hagenow, Briar Stinson, Dylan Crews, Ben Vespi, Luke Wagner, Francisco Hernandez and Masyn Winn.

There were 246 combined All-Tournament Team selections throughout the first and second teams, and that includes a bevy of MVP/MV-Pitcher awards bestowed upon the members of each squad. Some highlights include Kevin Parada as the only multiple individual award winner, claiming the co-MVP at the WWBA World Championship and MVP at the Fall Underclass National Championship. Other notable awards include Trejyn Fletcher as the MVP of the 16u WWBA National Championship, Brody Drost as the MVP of the 15u WWBA National Championship, Daniel Garcia as the MVP of the 16u BCS National Championship, Will Sanders as the MV-Pitcher of the 16u Underclass World Championship, Zac Veen as the MVP of the Underclass World Championship, and Blake Money and Grayson Moore as co-Most Valuable Pitchers of the 16u PG World Series.

Parada was named the Player of the Year after excelling nearly every time he stepped on the field. The California native and Georgia Tech commit launched five home runs in 111 at-bats, which included an outstanding performance in Jupiter. The Pitcher of the Year was Trey Gibson and the Liberty recruit was virtually unhittable this season. Gibson finished with a 0.70 ERA to go with a miniscule WHIP of 0.573 and averaged over 10 strikeouts per seven innings.
