The sixth weekend of the 2018 college baseball season was a competitive one, as 15 of the teams ranked within the Top 25 went into Sunday not knowing if they had won or lost their weekend series. Several series had been re-scheduled to deal with the dreaded "inclement" weather, as a handful of doubleheaders were played as well as the continuation of one game that was suspended between LSU and Vanderbilt from Saturday night.

One of the series that was won on Sunday was also one of the biggest as Florida rallied to beat Arkansas after losing Friday's series-opening game to take the next two contests, and the series. As a result, the Gators stay at the top of the PG/Rawlings College Top 25.

Two teams fell out of the Top 25: UCF and UNLV. UCF lost their series, at home, to American Athletic opponent East Carolina, and the Knights also lost their two mid-week contests at the hands of Florida State (who also won their weekend series at North Carolina). UNLV lost at home to Mountain West foe San Diego State, who remain considered for the rankings despite the fact that they did not break through, at least not this week.

With the two open spots it paved way for another American Athletic ballclub, Wichita State, as well as Mizzou, who came from behind against Mississippi State on Sunday to force extra innings and eventually went on to win the ballgame. The Shockers (17-4) have an especially strong RPI ranking this early in the process and will have a chance to prove their Top 25 worth quickly next weekend as they travel to Greenville, N.C. to take on East Carolina. The same is true for Mizzou, who travel to Auburn, and have one of college baseball's most dangerous hitters in Kameron Misner who leads the nation in walks and went 7-for-14 with three bases on balls and three runs scored in the Tigers three games against the Bulldogs.

Be sure to tune in to Perfect Game College Baseball on Monday nights as Daron Sutton and Mike Rooney will recap all of the week's action from 9-11 p.m. ET on ESPNU Radio on SiriusXM channel 84.
