Starters Green ended the regular season picking up a double header split with Starters Black to move to 2-9-1 on the season. They picked a good time to pick up their second win of the season as they head into the playoffs. If Starters Green can pick up timely base hits, they can make a nice run into the 14U playoffs.

PG Red is another team that has been plagued with lack of timely hitting on the season this year. After claiming the #2 seed nationally at the 12U level last year, PG Red 14U has struggled to adjust to the larger field. After being the team's leader last season, Kaden Frommelt has again impressed this year and has made the adjustment nicely. He is hitting .349 on the year. If PG Red 14U can find the gaps, they could potentially make some noise this postseason.

NJ Edge probably hasn't had the season they had hoped for, however, they were able to knock off eventual #1 overall seed NJ Axemen Blue just a week ago. With a team average of .213, NJ Edge will need to hit a little better if it wants to make a run to the postseason. They have shown a lot of promise and we will see if that translates to wins this weekend.

Led by Andrw Freeman, PG White has been a streaky bunch this season. Freeman has absolutely crushed the ball the season and is 3rd Nationally in avg velo (74.5) and 4th Nationally in max velo at 89.7. Surprisingly, Freeman hasn't hit a HR this season, however, I wouldn't be surprised to see him do that in the Playoffs this weekend.

PG Black enters the playoffs at 7-5 and is riding a 3 game winning streak. Lead by Manning Weiss, who is ranked 2nd in avg and RBI's, they look like prime upset candidates in the later rounds. As a team, PG Black is hitting .510 on the year.

Starters Blue has had a very solid season, with all 3 hitters putting up similar numbers for batting average, velo and max velo. They will look to continue to bring their balanced attack this weekend to the playoffs. Their record of 6-6 may not indicate just how good they are, having scored the 3rd most runs in the league at 71. This is another team that may be an under the radar pick for the playoffs.

Probably the tough luck draw for a facility champion, PG Navy advances to tournament play by opening with Starters Black from Shakopee, Minnesota. PG Navy features 3 hitters all batting over .400. Tyler Moores has probably been the biggest threat at the plate for this team, leading the nation in average velo at 80.4 and max velo at 100.4. Parker Smith and Zachary Walker have provided a lot of runners for Tyler to knock in. These guys will be a tough out for anyone.

Starters Black is another team that has been streaky heading into the playoffs. They enter the playoffs after splitting a pair of games over the weekend. They are led by Grant Brening, who has been very impressive at the plate. He currently 4th in the Country in Batting Average and has driven in 21 runs for his Starters Black team. If they can get timely hitting, they could be in for a postseason run.

The first bye goes to the #1 overall seed NJ Axemen Blue, which is led by many of last year's standout players from Players Edge. This season, the Gilligan brothers have really stood out, both hitting for high averages. Angel Colon has hit over .500 this year, adding to his performance last year where he hit for .693 last season and hit a HR. Last year's 12U HR leader(30), Naz Mule, rounds out the lineup for a team that expects to bring home the National Title.

The second bye goes to the #2 overall seed Starters Red as they await the winner of #10 NJ Edge and #7 PG White. Starters Red brought home the Facility regular season title and the #2 overall seed while handling their competition this year. With by far the most impressive performance of the 14U division, Starters Red is led by Kyle Hvidsten. Kyle is hitting .626, has driven in 56 RBI's, and has crushed 5 HR's. He looks to be running away with the triple crown.
