April 4 Top 25 | Top 150 Junior College Prospects

For the first time all season there are no new teams in this week's edition of the JuCo Top 25 rankings. For the very first time in 2017, no team fell out of the rankings to be replaced by a newcomer. It's kind of remarkable, when you think about it, given that these schools often play up to six games per week, but lo and behold, the following teams are the same ones we saw a week ago, albeit in a different order. 

There is no change at the top, per usual, with Chipola (Fla.) holding onto the top spot for yet another week, as they've run their record to an impressive 33-7 overall. Jones County (Miss.) is staying right on their heels at No. 2, having recorded another undefeated week. Santa Rosa (Calif.) stayed hot on the West Coast and moved up a spot to No. 3 with a record of 25-5. LSU-Eunice (Lous.) checks in at No. 4 while Connors State (Okla.) moved back into the Top 5 this week, checking in at No. 5. 

Chattahoochee Valley (Ala.) continued their winning ways and moved up to No. 6 while Santa Fe (Fla.) slid a few spots but is still ranked highly, coming in at No. 7. McLennan (Tex.) reached their highest ranking to date at No. 8, and rounding out the top 10 are Dyersburg State (Tenn.) and San Jac (Tex.). 

The biggest risers this week are Polk State (Fla.), who bumped up three spots from No. 15 to No. 12, as well as Harford (Md.), who may be as hot as anyone in JuCo baseball right now. Harford moved up four spots this week from No. 25 to No. 21 overall. If they keep up their torrid pace, the sky may be the limit for them. 

This was an unusual week given the lack of any real movement among the Top 25 as the vast majority of the schools listed had winning weeks. That can all change very quickly, however, so make sure to check back next week to see if anyone can unseat Chipola at No. 1.
