Orlando Scorpions Commit to BCS FINALS!

ORLANDO, FL – Sal Lombardo and Matt Gerber have confirmed that Orlando Scorpions has committed to participate in the 2009 14u, 16u, 17u, and 18u BCS Finals. The 14u team is currently ranked #19, the 16u is ranked #7, the 17u is ranked #7, and the 18u is ranked #22.

The BCS Finals will take place during the month of July in Ft. Myers, FL using historic Terry Park, the Boston Red Sox Player Development Complex, the City of Palms Stadium, and the Minnesota Twins Complex.

The 18u team will be led by Nolan Fontana (Florida), Nate Gonzalez (Vanderbilt), Nick Franklin (Auburn), Ethan Bornstein (Miami), and Kyle Andre (FGCU). The 17u team will be led by a rotation of AJ Cole, Brett Winger, Tyler Moore, and Ricky Knapp and the bats of Will Allen, Jose Dore, Ladson Montgomery, and James Ramsay. The 16u and 14u teams will be loaded with top players from across the state of Florida.
