Baumler hasn’t circulated nationally as much as most of his All-American peers as he is a punting/kicking standout in the fall with D-I football offers, and Iowa still plays its high school baseball in the spring. Nonetheless, Baumler is a highly talented and projectable two-way baseball prospect with a fastball up to 93 mph and very good feel for spinning both a curveball and slider. He’s also a college-level outfielder with 6.64 speed, righthanded power and a rifle throwing arm from the outfield that registered 98 mph at the PG National Showcase.
