Wilks started playing varsity baseball at Columbia Academy in Mississippi as a seventh grader and has been a starter since he was in eighth grade, when he hit the first three of his 44 current high school home runs. He’s an extremely strong lefthanded hitter with a swing made for power and makes some of the loudest contact of any hitter in the 2020 class. Wilks has had a strong summer leading up to the PG All-American Classic, including knocking three home runs at the WWBA 17u National Championship for the East Coast Sox.
