Hale, who is high school teammates with West first baseman Mahki Backstrom, hit .427-0-31 with 14 stolen bases and only eight strikeouts in 28 games as a junior. A versatile player who plays both infield and outfield, Hale is similar to long-time Orioles standout Adam Jones at the same age.
