As a big and strong righthanded hitter with lots of pull loft power, it would be hard to recognize Gonzalez as the son of 19-year Major League veteran Luis Gonzalez, now a Special Assistant to the President for the Arizona Diamondbacks. The two are different athletes, with the younger Gonzalez – a triplet with two sisters – fitting the corner infield mold with his big frame and power potential. At the same age his father was a slight lefthanded hitting middle infielder. Jacob was recently named the MVP at the 17u PG World Series.
