2023 Top Prospects

Nathan Bassett  RHP - 2023 - Bristow, VA
Virginia

Bassett was purely electric on the bump, showing off his big time arm as he worked up to 91 mph with his heater, sitting in the 87-90 mph for the majority of his three-innings of work. The 6-foot-2, 210-pound right-hander from Virginia showcased a dynamic fastball-slider mix that generated tons of whiffs, tallying seven strikeouts during his outing. Creating an uncomfortable at-bat for opposing hitters, coming from a 3/4 slot with looseness to his arm action, Bassett is a name to keep an eye on as programs round out their '23 recruiting classes.

Ryan Perez  OF - 2023 - Greenwich, CT
Longwood

Putting his power oriented game on display in workouts and in game, Perez showed off some loud skills that really stood out. At 5-10/205 he is densely muscled with a durable build and explosiveness to his actions. He moves well in the outfield, ranging to his left and right putting him in position to cut loose accurate throws up to 84 mph. He was on the barrel regularly at the plate, hitting from a wide stance and generating easy, lofted power to the pull side. With simple mechanics overall, he profiles as a middle of the order run producer at the next level where he is committed to play for Longwood.

George Kyriakopoulos  1B - 2023 - Astoria, NY
Felician College

With an imposing 6-6/240 presence on the field, Kyriakopoulos backed that up with some impressive numbers analytically. From the outfield he unleashed throws up to 89 mph with clean rotation and good accuracy. Knowing his way around the bag at 1B, he was solid defensively working his angles appropriately. At the plate, he displayed heavy hands, creating mid-90's exit velocity and justifiable length and loft to the pull side. This is a fun skill set built around power on both sides of the ball.

2024 Top Prospects

Noah Gyauch-Quirk  RHP - 2024 - Bethlehem, PA
Lehigh

Gyauch-Quirk caught everyones attention from the first pitch he threw this weekend. With an easy, flowing operation on the bump and a quick arm producing power stuff it is easy to dream on this 6-3/170 RHP. Cruising at 86-88 mph with his FB, he dominated hitters in the zone with it's high spin and boring action. While he may not have needed his off speed pitches to get quick outs, he went ahead and flashed a plus slider up to 78 mph and spun it in the 2,600 rpm range. By the way, his CH profiles as a plus pitch too. Super athletic, he ran a 6.93 in the 60 yard dash and showed advanced bat to ball skills with emerging power. The Lehigh commit has the look of a two-way prospect long term.

Carlos Caraballo  RHP - 2024 - Hanover, PA
West Virginia

An intriguing two-way talent, Caraballo showcased himself well in multiple facets throughout the weekend. Working his heater up to 91 mph on the bump, sitting comfortable in the 86-89 mph range with electric arm speed. He generated some whiffs through his outing, manipulating his slider well that show 2400+ spin. Caraballo continued to show off his big arm strength as he was clocked up to 89 mph from the infield and 87 mph from the outfield. Collecting three knocks on Sunday between the two game, the Pennsylvania native implored a tight, compact stroke with some jump to the pull side.

Tim Tyler  LHP - 2024 - Bear, DE
James Madison

If you like left-handed power both with the stick and on the mound, than Tyler is a guy to watch. The 6-2/190 first baseman moves well around the bag, showing clean glove work and a strong accurate arm across the diamond. At the plate, he uses an upright stance to create excellent leverage, allowing his hand strength to accelerate the bat head to impact pitches with violence. Putting the finishing touches on his well-rounded game, he took the mound and showed why he will garner real attention as a two-way athlete. HIs FB sat in the mid-80's, grabbing 87 from here and there with good spin. While his CB is still an emerging pitch, it did show good spin and shape in the zone. Tyler should garner a lot of interest in a short amount of time.

2025 Top Prospects

Michael Delgaudio  OF - 2025 - Lutherville, MD
Uncommitted

Delgaudio was one of the louder performers of the weekend. Showing off some big-time arm strength, Delgaudio was up to 91 mph from the outfield and 88 mph at first as the ball just jumped out of his hand. An uber-athletic two-way talent, working two quick innings of the bump Saturday afternoon picking up four strikeouts with a rhythmic operation. Going yard during BP, Delgaudio impacts the ball well, generating tons of torque as he fires his hands at the ball, continually producing loud barrels.

Casey Carpenter  3B - 2025 - Bel Air, MD
UNC-Wilmington

Carpenter had a strong showing in multiple facets of the weekend. Moving around the diamond with ease with clean glove actions, Carp made several nice plays during the games. Displaying some range to his left-and-right, the Bel Air native just had a strong feel for the hot corner. Impacting the ball to the pull side during his BP round, Carpenter flashed some big-time juice as the ball jumped off his bat. Barreling up the ball several times during games unfortunately hitting it right at guys, Carp would break into the box score on Sunday.

Gavin Weber  SS - 2025 - Severna Park, MD
Uncommitted

Weber was a barrel machine throughout the entire weekend, collecting four knocks in six trips to the plate during game action. A young, compact frame, Weber showcased a simple, compact stroke with quickness to his hands. Working through the middle-of-the-field as he displayed excellent bat-to-ball skills.

Nick Felton  OF - 2025 - Odenton, MD
Uncommitted

Standing at 6-foot-3, 170-pounds, Felton's physical presence alone stood out with tons of projection remaining and strength to be added. Incorporating his long levers well into his swing, Felton was able to lift some balls throughout the weekend, displaying middle-of-the-field impact. There is some big-time power projection remaining to get tapped into as he gains overall better feel for the barrel.

2026 Top Prospects

Leo Antwerpen  LHP - 2026 - Baltimore, MD
Uncommitted

On the mound and in the field, Antwerpen's maturity really stood out. Working up to 82 mph with advanced command of his arsenal, the young left-hander tossed three-shutout innings Saturday, collecting five punch outs along the way. While showing his athleticism at first, Antwerpen moved well around the bag, putting his throws right on the money with some zip.

Braeden Martin  SS - 2026 - Columbia, MD
Uncommitted

A sub-7 runner in the sixty, Martin was player, having a good workout portion but really stood out once gameplay started. Collecting a knock in three-of-the-four games played, the young middle-infielder displayed an advanced feel for the barrel as he worked gap-to-gap with his smooth left-handed stroke. Putting together a consistent round of BP, Martin showcased strong line-drive tendencies, not trying to do too much as he repeated his stroke well. He has all the intangibles to stick up-the-middle with clean actions in the dirt with present arm strength.
