Ben Castelli is a 2022 SS with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Mission Viejo, CA who attends Mission Viejo. Athletic build with good present strength and room for more. Right handed hitter, has a short hands driven swing with a dominant top hand, gets into his lower half well to drive his swing, has very good present bat speed and gets the ball to jump, aggressive hitter who attacks the ball, showed his power very well both in batting practice and in the games. 7.20 runner in the sixty. Has smooth footwork in the middle infield on defense, active and quick feet that enable him to work well behind the ball, athleticism on defense is obvious, short and compact arm action with a good release, may be better suited to second base at the next level.
