Max McGwire is a 2021 1B/RHP/OF with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Irvine, CA who attends Capistrano Valley. Long and lean projectable build, noticeably stronger and more filled out since the last time seen. Right handed hitter, has an easy low tension swing, gets extended through contact with lift out front, present bat speed with the ability to drive the ball to the pull side, still very projectable for adding additional bat speed and strength at contact. 7.07 runner, very athletic at first base, moves well and will have plus range at that position, easy arm strength and can adjust his arm slot making different throws, has the athletic ability and arm to play all over the field aside from first base. Son of former big leaguer Mark McGwire. Excellent student, verbal commitment to Oklahoma. Selected to play in the Perfect Game All-American Classic.
