Christopher Castro is a 2017 2B/SS with a 5-4 120 lb. frame from Austin, TX who attends Akins HS. Smaller young build. Right handed hitter, has sound hitting mechanics and repeats them well, handles the barrel well and squares the ball up, works the middle of the field and will occasionally jump on a pitch and show pull line drive contact, has the hitting tools and barrel control to improve with additional strength. 7.49 runner, has a good first step on defense and showed some range, good jumps and routes on pop ups, takes short quick steps, compact arm action with good accuracy. Solid fundamental player who just needs to get stronger. Christopher is a good student.
