Jose Toledano is a 2022 OF/LHP/1B with a 6-3 180 lb. frame from Weston, FL who attends Cypress Bay. Long and lean athletic build, very projectable athletically. Left handed hitter, hits from a balanced slightly open stance, tends to stride open into contact, has quick hands with good bat speed, can be more direct to the ball, has natural lift to his swing and is looking to pull the ball, has some present bat speed with more to come as he fills out physically. 7.15 runner in the sixty. Has a very good arm in the outfield with potential for even more arm strength with more fundamental footwork through the ball. Also pitched, has a loose arm from a 3/4's arm slot, long arm action and still developing consistency in his mechanics. Fastball topped out at 85 mph with good arm side life at times. Curveball flashed tight spin and some bite when he was out front with it, tunneled his change up well and shows potential with this pitch. Two-way prospect with projection on both sides of the ball. Very good student. Named to the National Underclass Showcase Main Event Top Prospect List.
