Jordan Powell is a 2017 RHP/2B with a 5-10 162 lb. frame from Montgomery, TX who attends Montgomery High. Medium frame with an athletic build. High energy player that throws from a high 3/4 arm slot and has quick arm speed. Great arm strength and does a nice job of getting extended on his finish. Lower half drives toward home plate. Delivery is repeatable and fluid. Fastball consistently sat 83-87 MPH through 4 innings. Curveball was very sharp, froze hitters on a regular basis. Developing feel for changeup. Mixed location and pitch selection well, struck out 10 hitters. Strong mound presence, good idea about what he wants to out there. Strong feel for pitches. Excellent student. Named to Top Prospect List.
