David 'Itchy' Burts is a 2016 2B/RHP with a 5-8 146 lb. frame from League City, TX who attends Clear Springs HS. Shorter slender build, young look. Right handed hitter, slash and run type of contact hitter, handles the barrel well and makes consistent contact, gets out of the box very quickly, consistent 4.2 home to first running times, battler on offense. 7.17 runner in the sixty, quick actions in the infield, plays hard, has some arm strength for a second baseman. Also pitched, compact arm action with a 3/4's release. Fastball topped out at 82 mph, showed tight spin on a big breaking 11/5 curveball, threw strikes with both pitches. Intense player who is going to try to beat you. Very good student.
