Chase Berberich is a 2017 LHP/OF with a 5-10 140 lb. frame from Trophy Club, TX who attends Byron Nelson High School. Medium, lean build with an athletic frame that has room to continue to fill out. Primary left handed pitcher, longer arm action with a big arm circle with a deliberate action towards the plate. Coils his hips well, but was inconsistent with drive downhill, should use more. Fastball worked 73-75 mph with slight wiggle that he threw for strikes and elicited weak contact. 1/7 shaped curveball with depth for strikes with confidence to miss bats. Also took batting practice, started with an open stance and a high hand set. Up the middle oriented swing with an inconsistent plane and developing bat speed. Good student.
