Tyler Mondile is a 2016 RHP/SS with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Wenonah, NJ who attends Gloucester Catholic HS. Young and slender middle infielder's type build, long arms and legs for his height. Busy hands in his delivery with late separation, 3/4's arm slot with a compact takeaway on the backside, fast arm with good extension out front, some energy at release. Low 90's fastball, topped out at 94 mph, heavy fastball with lots of sink and running action down in the zone, worked down in the zone this outing. Power curveball that will very vary between curveball and slider shape and depth, best at higher velocities when he stays on top, 10/4 break with some sharpness. Only showed change up in warm ups. Impressive performance with two potential plus pitches. Good student, verbal commitment to Florida State.
