Chris Betts is a 2015 C/RHP with a 6-2 220 lb. frame from Long Beach, CA who attends Wilson HS. Extra large and strong athletic build, mature build. Polished receiver with outstanding raw arm strength, loves to throw the ball and will back pick runners at any base, very accurate throws, long release keeps pops in the 1.90 range but very consistent there, receives the ball very well with strong hands, can improve lower half quickness for blocking/shifting. Left handed hitter, extra strong swing with very good bat speed when he stays above the ball, tends to get too inside at times and looses leverage and angle, flashes big power to all fields when hitting aggressively. Will need to work hard to keep body loose and quick but has very high level tools. Good student, verbal commitment to Tennessee. Selected for the Perfect Game All-American Classic.
