Diego Guevara is a 2022 OF with a 6-4 210 lb. frame from Statesboro, GA who attends Georgia Premier Academy. Extra-large, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs with room to fill throughout. Ran a 6.48 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, shows actions moving towards the ball and will continue to refine, extra step moving into release, compact arm action working up to a higher three-quarters release point, shows accuracy to the intended base out of hand and shows quickness to arm stroke. Right-handed hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; upper body dominant swing, inverted front toe at start. Looseness to hands and does a nice job of generating loft in swing, generates present bats peed through the zone. Repeats swing path well, looks to pull the ball at point of contact, projects with additional lower half implemented into swing, creates jump off of the barrel at present when squared. Good student. Verbal commitment to Miami.
