James Raidt is a 2023 RHP/SS with a 6-3 185 lb. frame from Stamford, CT who attends King & Low-Heywood Thomas School. Long and lean athletic build with plenty of room to get stronger. Works from the stretch with drop and drive mechanics with an early back leg collapse, can get out in front of his arm at times with his lower half drive down the mound. Fastball worked in the low 90's and topped out at 92 mph, gets good sinking action down in the zone and works low consistently when his arm is on time. Curveball has nice tightness and depth, flashed plus at times, near 3,000 rpm spin rates on the pitch, has a chance to be a real swing/miss pitch in the future. Projectable young right hander. Very good student, verbal commitment to Duke.
