Xavier Cardenas III is a 2022 RHP/LHP with a 6-6 200 lb. frame from La Habra, CA who attends Servite. Extra-large, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, lean build with plenty of room to fill and develop moving forward physically. Right-handed pitcher, simple side step moving into a higher leg lift up past belt, some gather over the rubber with a long and fluid arm action through the backside working up to a high three-quarters release point. Fastball topped out at 96 mph, power arm and generates steep plane when on top of the ball, flashes running life with sink when down in the zone, will continue to refine consistency of delivery. Mixed a curveball up to 75 mph with 11-5 shape and depth with flashes of bite. High end upside on the mound. Verbal commitment to San Diego State. Selected to the 2021 Perfect Game All-American Classic.
