Samuel Hernandez is a 2022 C/3B, IF with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from Lakeland, FL who attends Lakeland Senior. Medium height with a solid current strength to the frame. Ran a 7.16 in the sixty yard dash. A primary catcher, starts with a wider feet and a comfortable angled base. Timing it and gaining early ground, quick exchange with a short arm stroke, notching a 1.91 pop. A secondary infielder, high energy with good feel for angles as he worked through the ball. Clean and repeats with plenty of arm strength for the left side of the infield. A right-handed hitter, starts even and slightly open with the base and loads down as he makes his forward move. Toe tap trigger with plenty of hand speed through the zone, working the barrel out front and creating lots of jump off the bat to the pull side gap. Very good student.
