Juan Pie is a 2017 OF/ with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Santa Domingo, DR who attends Cenapec. Plus athletic build, long arms and broad shoulders, very projectable, looks bigger than listed. Left handed hitter, upper half rotational swing with limited lower half shift and drive, generates lots of bat speed and extension through contact, not consistent in timing and plane but ball comes off the barrel hard when squared, has lift in his swing and plus power potential. Moves well on defense in the outfield and shows his athleticism, similar arm action to his swing, gets good carry on his throws, aggressive to the ball and will rush occasionally. Young Jason Heyward type of body and actions, very interesting young international prospect.
