Bradley Hanner is a 2017 RHP/ with a 6-3 185 lb. frame from Rapidan, VA who attends Orange Co. Large frame with an athletic build and wiry strength. Primary right handed pitcher with a simple side step to leg lift delivery. Gathers well at balance point and utilized back side with drop and drive action to the plate. Lands in line with front side and carries momentum through finish well. Creates slight wrap at take back and released from a compact three-quarters arm slot. Flashed good arm quickness through extension with a fastball that had running action to arm side topping at 90 miles per hour. Commands fastball offering well to the bottom of the zone with solid downhill angle to the plate. Curveball had 11/5 to near 12/6 shape with tight spin and late depth when working in higher velocity band. Also showed a slider offering with 9/4 shape that had looser spin and occasional tilt in the mid 70's. Shows good command for slider offering with the ability to located on each edge of the plate. Primarily looks to work ahead with fastball offering and then change eye level with slider late in counts. Also worked out defensively from the infield showing smooth paced, deliberate footwork while surrounding the baseball. Funnels the baseball from a deeper position and works through transition with efficient exchanges. Released from a compact three-quarters arm slot producing some carry with accuracy to the bag. Right handed hitter with an upright, slightly open stance and simple leg lift trigger. Direct barrel path to contact with a line drive plane through extension. Stays very balanced and repeats path well. Primarily worked to the middle of the field and pull side gap produced hard line drive, ground ball contact throughout batting practice.
