RJ Rickabaugh is a 2022 C/OF with a 5-11 190 lb. frame from Coatesville, PA who attends Coatesville Area. Medium, broad shouldered frame with present physical strength proportioned well throughout frame. Ran a 7.53 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, lower set behind the plate, receives it out front, incorporates lower half into actions and shows ability to work on top of throws down to second base, big arm strength and carry out of hand, clean arm path up to a higher slot, will continue to refine and has solid tools. Left-handed hitter, begins with a wide base and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate. Longer swing path through the zone, has present bat speed, best contact when getting the hands out and extension at the point of contact, shows carry off of the barrel when squared to pull side. Excellent student. Verbal commitment to Notre Dame.
