Brody Moore is a 2018 SS/P, 2B with a 6-1 145 lb. frame from Altoona, AL who attends Oneonta. Medium frame with slender, athletic frame; very projectable body moving forward. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.12 seconds. Sets up to hit from wide-based stance with high hands and back elbow, big stride forward into swing, turns the barrel well and successfully gets the barrel out front to strike the ball cleanly on time. Consistently squared up line drives off the the screen during batting practice, will drive the ball more successfully with continued strength gains and incorporation of lower half into swing. Worked out defensively in the infield, shows good athletic actions to both sides, gets to ball well and fields cleanly out front, extremely quick transfer and release across the diamond, clocked up to 72 MPH on throws. Pitched as well, clean arm action through the back up to three quarters arm slot, fastball worked 78-81 MPH with good feel to command the pitch to both sides of the plate. Showed curveball with short, sharp break with some tilting shape, good job mixing and matching both pitches and attacking hitters. Very good student.
