Austine Jeremy Arocho is a 2017 SS with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Glen Burnie, MD who attends Old Mill HS. Compact athletic build with some present strength. 6.76 runner, very good defensive player in the middle infield, plenty of arm strength for shortstop and can throw effectively and strongly from multiple arm slots, has a very quick release on his throws, feet work well at the ball. Switch-hitter, hits from a wide base with good hand speed, better at present from the left side with better balance and fluidity and timing a grade better bat speed but should be able to continue to switch-hit at the next level. Verbal commitment to Maryland.
