Chad Spanberger is a 2014 C/3B/1B with a 6-3 210 lb. frame from Granite City, IL who attends Granite City HS. Tall, strong build with some projection still to come. Shows potential behind the plate, gives a low target despite his height, looks balanced, receiving skills need improvement. Outstanding arm strength, needs to get a little more under control with throws. Left-handed batter, hits from a wide base, shows good balance, a little heavy on his front foot at times. Very confident approach, shows legitimate power potential, gets good leverage, impressive bat speed. High upside hitter who will continue to get better, raw tools are there. Very good student.
