Elijah Selga (2024, Chula Vista, Calif.) was one of, if not the best bat on the day. The left-handed hitting backstop showed off an impressive offensive profile. The frame has strength throughout and does not go to waste. He moves his body well with the ability to be athletic in the box. The hit tool and power should both grade out as above-average with the ability to be plus grades down the line. The stroke is fairly simple after a dramatic load onto the backside. He keeps the head quiet throughout the swing, allowing him to find the barrel often and making him tough to strikeout. The bat speed is extremely impressive. He whips the barrel through the zone on a plane that creates natural loft. He showed the power was put on display with a loud double to the pull-side gap. The swing has all the elements to be successful and should continue to develop into a potential middle of the order bat that can hit for average.

Austin Charles (2024, Avondale, Ariz.) showed off the offensive skill set that should produce at the next level. The San Diego State commit features a strong frame, but the height still leads to plenty of projection left. There is a lot to like within the swing and some continued development should only make it better. It features a short path to the ball, allowing him to get to a lot of pitches and velocities. The hit tool has the potential to grade out as above-average thanks to the ability to use the entire field. He proved that with a hard hit double down the right field line. There is some current power within the profile that should only get better with added strength. Along with old hit and power tools, Charles rounds off an impressive offensive profile with above-average speed. It allows him to take the extra base, turning singles to doubles and doubles to triples. He has all the elements to be a very productive bat.
