Cangelosi Sparks North – Black 2024 knocked Dupage Training Academy Wildcats 15U Elite from bracket play Sunday by a score of 6-0. Jack Calcagno (2024, Elmhurst, Ill.) left no doubt on the mound, coming in in relief and throwing four hitless innings. He pounded the zone, only throwing 48 pitches and striking out four while only allowing two walks. He has big frame and a high ¾ arm slot which he uses to create a lot of downhill plane on his fastball that sat 76-79 mph today.

The offense for the Sparks was highlighted by the bats of Cash Campbell (2024, Downers Grove, Ill.) and Mason Phillips (2024, Oak Park, Ill.). Campbell is a lefty with a lot of present strength and a smooth swing. He has good barrel control and easy power, which he showed off by going 2-for-3 with a triple and an RBI. Phillips is a natural athlete that has a swing that is short and compact swing that he used to drive a double down the right field line. He ended the day 3-for-3 with an RBI.
