The undisputed top team in the land for the incredible 2025 season in none other than the Louisiana State Tigers. Winners of 8-games in a row to finish the season at (53-15) they went a perfect (5-0) in Omaha in route to winning the programs 8th NCAA Championship. This year’s College World Series title gives them the second-highest total in NCAA Baseball history and cements their program as the most successful in modern history. Furthermore, head coach Jay Johnson is ascending to legend status in the coaching world as he has now led LSU to the national title two out of the last three seasons. Johnson has made four trips to Omaha in the last nine seasons and competed in the CWS Finals three times. Baseball is alive and well in Baton Rouge, the Tigers successfully recruit coast-to-coast and it’s a scary thought, but things are just getting started for the Jay Johnson era in the bayou.
