17u PG Coastal Underclass State Championship  
Jared Hagwood (2026, Spring Hope, N.C.) showed a ton of power upside in the box for Purpose Driven. The left-handed hitter starts from a square stance with even feet and a high back elbow with a high handset, utilizes a short leg lift trigger to get on time. Gets on plane early and stays on plane with a direct hand path. Works uphill through contact with a hard turn of the lower half with feel to leverage and drive the baseball especially to the pull-side. Showed good strength at contact with a feel to lift the baseball and solid jump off the barrel. Simple operation in the box with feel for the barrel.
