2025 NAA National Championship Preview: A3 Academy Earns Top Seed as TNXL Ducks Pursue Four-Peat

East Cobb Complex — Marietta, GA

The 2025 NAA National Championship kicks off this week at the historic East Cobb Complex in Georgia, where the seven-member National Academies Association descends for a double-elimination showdown in both the Premier and Prospect divisions. Hosted by Perfect Game and streamed live via DiamondKast, the tournament showcases the top talent and toughest schedules in high school baseball.

PREMIER DIVISION: A3 on Top, TNXL Chases a Legacy

A3 Academy (19-5) enters as the No. 1 seed in the Premier division after a dominant season that included a 7-3 finish over their last 10. Their staff is anchored by Michael Cascino, the event’s top-ranked pitcher, with support from Chase Nystrom, Alex Arciniegas, and Matt Werner. Offensively, they’re led by Linkin Garcia who posted a jaw-dropping .531 batting average over the course of the NAA season.

The TNXL Ducks (17-7), chasing their fourth straight national title, return as the No. 3 seed. Though missing a few arms due to injury, TNXL still boasts a deep Premier staff that includes Coleton Brady, Axel Duque, Spencer Evans, Matthew Hopkinson, Dominic Pontbriant, and more. At the plate, Noah Franklin and Keenan Jabeth provide the thunder.

PRO5 Academy (17-7) slots in as the No. 2 seed with arms like Cannon Lee, Jude Fisher, and Christopher Donaldson, and offensive contributors like Grady Lenahan, Christian Serrano, and Colton Haire.

P27 Academy (12-12) brings one of the deepest rotations to East Cobb: Jace Stancil, Sam Bettis, Zane Stahl, Aidan Aragon, and Joseph Yamamoto all rank in the event’s top 25 statistically. Offensively, they feature Ezra Essex, Matous Bubenik, and Danny Melendez.

PDG Generals (11-13) come in as the No. 5 seed with two strong arms in Dylan Singleton and Hayden Green, and depth behind them from Riley Gibson and Davis Hamby.

Georgia Premier Sox (8-16) are a dark horse with a top end staff headlined by RJ Cope, Adrian Casoliba, Tre Jackson and Jenker Romero.

Elite Squad Wolfpack (0-24) rounds out the field but looks to make a statement in Game 1, led by some intriguing talent by the likes of Codey Gauff, Johnny Ray, and more. Regardless of record, Elite Squad should be a fun side to watch.

P27 Academy – Prospect (18-6) is the No. 1 seed, fielding a loaded group of arms: Aidan Aragon, Daniel Head, Tyler Smith, J.R. Struk, Will Howard, and Bryson Steele. Offensively, Jose Doubront and Mac Dawsey bring a steady approach to the top of the order.

Last year’s Prospect champion, Georgia Premier (17-7), returns with a new group led by Gage Litton, Jackson Reynolds, and Collin Thomas. Their pitching depth and team defense helped them finish strong down the stretch.

TNXL Prospect (16-8) is armed with strike throwers like John Caddell and Jabdiel Perez and will rely on sharp execution with a compact, balanced roster.

A3 Academy – Prospect (15-9) is rolling. Grant Timmons and Austin Denamen lead a deep staff, with Noah Raines providing consistency. Offensively, they’re bolstered by Kaden Kenny, Michael Brooks, and Nathaniel Roldan.

PRO5 Prospect will count on Jacob Cesarz, Will Connolly, and Drake Lee to produce on both sides of the ball, while PDG Prospect fields Davis Hamby and a younger group looking to play spoiler.
