Well, we just finished an incredibly, insane week of baseball and it took us most of the day on Sunday to sort through all the carnage. This week’s poll will be by far the most disrupted so far this season and some teams that had been hovering just outside the top-25 kicked down the door. The three SEC teams sitting at the top in LSU (18-2), Florida (18-4) and Arkansas (18-2) all won their series and remain unchanged as the top-3 this week. Wake Forest (18-3) is back up to No. 4 with their (3-1) week, while Vanderbilt (16-5) on the heels of their dominant 3-game sweep of Ole Miss (14-6) forces their way up to No. 5. As a result of their (0-4) week the Rebels free fall to No. 14 this week.

South Carolina (20-1) is our biggest mover, making their first appearance in the poll at No. 15, after they dismantled Georgia on the road and are the first team to reach 20 wins this year. Missouri (16-3) made a huge statement with a 3-game sweep of Tennessee (15-6) and as a result, the Tigers debut at No. 20 while the Vols plummet to No. 13. Two other programs jump into the rankings for the first time this week in Florida Gulf Coast and UTSA. The Eagles (16-4) won their first conference series of the year against Liberty, while the Roadrunners (18-3) had a perfect week, sweeping FAU on the weekend.

TCU (10-9) continues to trend the wrong direction and almost dropped completely out of the top-25 as they fell 10 spots. Texas A&M (14-6) barely holds on in the poll after a (2-2) week and have a tremendously difficult couple weeks ahead of them. The ACC took a beating this week as Virginia Tech, NC State and Florida State all exit the rankings after losing records last week. Auburn didn’t show up last weekend at Arkansas and disappears from the poll.

The battle for supremacy in the SEC ramps up even higher this coming weekend as LSU hosts Arkansas, Florida travels to Ole Miss and Texas A&M heads to Tennessee. We will be bringing you a lot of coverage as always, so be sure to follow us on Twitter @PGCollegeBall.
