*Due to inclement weather, the event saw co-champions as both Georgia Premier and P27 won their final matchups in the playoff round and a breakdown of Georgia Premier's run to get them a share of championship is detailed below.

Hoover, Ala. – A year after seeing their championship game run fall just short in the final game, Georgia Premier brings home a share of the title in 2023. In the championship game GPA played a red hot East Coast Ghost Platinum team that was swinging some of the hottest sticks in the event coming into the ‘ship. GPA would record the final out, however, taking home the championship 8-4.

The bats for GPA did not stop in the finals, banging the baseball around the yard in the tune of a twelve hit outburst. Edward Phelps III had three of those hits and also knocked in a trio of runs. A year after winning the MV-Player award, Phelps swung it from start to finish, hitting .400 during the weekend. Eric Guevara also was on the mark during the weekend and also had three hits during the final game. He also knocked in three runs, scored a pair, and legged out a triple. The top of the lineup just blitz the Ghost as Raudi Rodriguez collected a pair of hits and worked a pair of walks. Jordan Thomas and Gavin Braland need to be mentioned, and for good reason, as they put consistent at-bats together down the stretch and helped to grind opposing pitchers down and create runs.

De'sean Williams, Jimmie Dukes, and Tre Jackson combined to win the championship game, with Tre Jackson dominating the last few scoreless innings. Mikhai Grant was sensational to start the event going five scoreless and got twenty whiffs during the game. Kody Collins pitched six-plus scoreless innings during the second game of the tournament. Jevarra Martin had twirled five scoreless innings during his excellent start beating one of the best lineups in the entire event. Adonis Smith was excellent in relief during a couple short outings. Finally, RJ Cope threw a six inning complete game, showing ice in the veins during a spirited semifinal game. He mixes three pitches and hammers the zone as he maneuvered through a powerful lineup a few times.

Outfielder Ryan Costello, who was outstanding the entire event, barreled a triple during the last game of the event. Diego Tavarez also recorded a double during the finals for the Ghost.

Georgia Premier Academy was just too relentless during the event and plays and exciting style of baseball.
