Week 2 is now in the books and the depth of quality programs and the parity across the nation is at an all-time high. There were pitcher’s battles, slugfests, and everything in between as the game reminded us that you never know what to expect. There was no movement in the top-6 this week as everyone held serve but we did see some significant changes outside the top-10.

Four teams in the top-25 remain unbeaten with No. 4 Wake Forest (9-0), No. 12 Texas Tech (8-0), No. 14 Virginia (7-0) and No. 17 NC State (7-0). The Demon Deacons continues to score runs at a torrid pace, the Red Raiders continues to get great contributions from their newcomers, the Cavs are batting .375 as a club with a collective ERA just north of 2 and the Wolfpack has pitched at an elite level thus far. The Florida Gators jump one spot to No. 7, are playing like National Title contenders as they are being led by the most impressive two-way athlete in the nation in Jac Caglianone. No. 10 Vanderbilt leapfrogs UCLA after taking 2 out of 3 from the Bruins in a hard-fought series in Nashville. ACC powers Miami and Virginia were some of our bigger risers up to No. 9 and No. 14 respectively as they had perfect weeks.

A few teams saw some pretty significant drops in TCU, UNC, and Texas A&M as they lost their weekend series in profound fashion. Oregon, Maryland, and Texas State exit the top-25 and make room for three new teams. ECU made a splash this weekend with the sweep of the Tarheels and make their debut at No. 18. Meanwhile Florida State went to Fort Worth and took down the Horned Frogs in resounding fashion to move into the rankings at No. 19 this week. The other team to make their first appearance is No. 25 UC Santa Barbara who swept the Ducks in Eugene.

Week 3 features some incredible in-state battles with traditional powers such as Miami vs. Florida, Georgia vs. Georgia Tech, and South Carolina vs. Clemson. As always, we will have you covered for much of the action.
