What Happened: Lost 2 of 3 after winning the Friday opener. Made a bit of a statement hanging with the number 3 ranked team in the country with opportunities to win the last two games.

Carrying Tool: The Offense. The lineup looks to be vastly improved with transfers Colby Wallace in the middle of the lineup looking like he could be an impact guy. Nathan Nankil has always flashed the tools, and looks like he’s turned the corner and can be a key cog for the Titans. Veterans Zach Lew and Caden Connor give stability to the lineup and have shown a history of hitting.

Best Player on the Field: Nathan Nankil. As mentioned above, he's always had the tools and he’s hit for me going back to his high school days with the San Diego Show. He has since added some physicality and has presence in the box with the ability to drive the ball all over the yard. It proved to be a big weekend for Nankil with 7 hits over the series while scoring 5 runs.

Nathan Nankil, OF
Nankil is an athletic and physically built outfielder with a high waisted frame and strength through his lower half with room to add more strength. He struggled a bit early in college career, but looked to turn the corner developmentally over the summer with strong performance in the Northwoods League. The confidence from that success seems to have spilled into the start of the college season as he had a big opening weekend with 7 hits. Corner outfield profile with strong arm. He can rifle balls to all fields with ability to loft for power. Solid base at the dish with moderate leg kick in sync with hand load, rhythmic swing. Key cog for Fullerton's success whose lineup seems to have a more physical look with some depth to the lineup.

Well, here we go folks, we have one month left in the regular season and things continue to get more unpredictable on the national landscape. We are seeing some new clubs making statements out west and non-Power 5s on the east coast continuing to jockey for post-season host consideration.
