The Diamond Dawgs brought home their sixth Florida League title in dominant fashion, finishing the regular season with the best record before defeating Leesburg in the Championship. Winter Park also had the league Pitcher of the Year on their squad in Jacob Burr. The right-hander finished with a dominant year and a 1.30 ERA and 36 strikeouts across 34.2 innings. The league MVP went to outfielder Jeff Liquori of Sanford, who ended the season slashing .349/.393/.566 with five long balls. The league has produced some high caliber prospects over the past few years, including Rockies first rounder Sterlin Thompson, who played for Orlando in 2020 and Winter Park in 2021.
