Ryan Lynch (2024, Moorestown, N.J.) doesn’t blow you away based on the stat line as he went five innings, punched out five and scattered a couple hits and walks but it’s a really enticing profile and I think he has a good chance to pop in a big way as a still uncommitted right-hander. He’s 6-foot-3 with all kinds of length to his limbs but coordinates them fairly well and is able to work in and around the zone for the most part. It’s not the fastest of arms but it’s loose and he gets down the mound well while already producing some really interesting stuff. It was 86-88 with the fastball early on as he’s able to sink it with two seamers and will show a firm changeup to give a similar look but it’s the slider components that jump out at you. He spun it regularly in the 2600-2700 RPM range and it looks like it with very late bite. It’s not a big breaking pitch and he could effectively miss more bats as he develops it but there’s a foundation there of a really high-upside right-hander if everything clicks and he continues on the upward trending arrow.
