Braden Guentz (2023, Clovis, Calif.) had a potent two-pitch mix in relief for Norcal U 2023. The right-hander topped 90 mph with arm-side run from a loose three-quarter slot. Also flashed a mid-70s breaker in the form of a slider. Competed and forced tough outs. Really battled on the hill to keep his team in the game. Good amounts of projection left. Lanky 6-foot-4, 185-pound frame with more room to fill out. The projection and current stuff gives his profile some upside moving forward. Uncommitted for the 2023 class.
