Miami commit Kaden Martin (2022, Buford, Ga.) continued to show why he is one of the best two-way prospects in the country in a 9-1 victory on Monday afternoon. The dual-sport athlete got the start and got up to 90 mph once in the first inning on a strikeout. The heater lived in the mid-80s throughout the start and showed late arm-side run when he dropped the arm angle and good ride in the zone when he came more over the top. The breaking ball was slurvy when he threw from the lower slot but flashed true 12-6 shape from the over-the-top slot. With the bat he is up there with some of the better hitters in the country. He generates serious bat speed and barrel whip through the zone and showed good barrel control and juice to the middle of the field. When the swing is on time, he can produce some loud barrels. He finished up the outing going 1-for-3 with a single and two RBI and also went four innings, allowing only two hits and striking out three. This could be an interesting name to watch in the upcoming draft as he is as athletic as they come.
