Jaron Gunn (2025, Tampa, Fla.) showed to be a lethal two-way threat for Tampa Bay Prospects. Gun is a lefty bat and throws from the right side off the bump. At the plate, he keeps his head low and relaxed and lets the ball travel deep which allows him to coil his hips and let his hands fly. In his first at-bat he barreled a triple into the right-center gap, in his second at-bat he hit a single in between left and center field and sprinted hard out of the box to stretch it into a double. On the mound he was dominant, going five innings with seven strikeouts and only allowing one earned run and two walks. His fastball sat primarily 75-78 mph but ramped up to 80 mph a few times. The breaking ball had a good shape on it and was good in 1-2, 0-2 counts for swings. Big physical left-handed bat with some good arm talent and speed on the bases.
