17u WWBA South Scout Notes: Days 1-3

Kale Knox (2023, Buna, Texas) has been outstanding at the plate on a consistent basis now. His string of multi-hit games since the start of the summer has been impressive to watch. Knox is a big 6-foot-2, 200-pound build with plenty of physical projection to build on and present two-sport athleticism. His left-handed swing shows clear feel for the barrel and knowledge of the zone. There have not been many fastballs in the zone that he missed and shows discipline. The swing is smooth and creates some loft in the path, more hit over power but the strong frame suggests there is plenty of impact left to see. Knox creates a lot of leverage with carry to both sides, he has shown a natural feel to hit and should be watched closely as one of the more notable uncommitted prospect performing well in the circuit this far.
