Chase Carter (2025, Shannon, N.C.) was handling the hot corner for the Carolina White Sox 2025 in the first game of the weekend. The 6-foot-1, 235-pound infielder is physically imposing for his age with present strength and is a force in the middle of the lineup. He starts with an open stance, uses a double toe tap for timing and gets good turn through his hips. His bat is flat and inside the ball leading to hard line drives and should allow him to develop real loft and power in the near future. He moves pretty good on his feet and his glove work secures the ball well. There is middle of the lineup, corner power guy written all over him. He went 1-for-2 on the day, with a backside missile.
