Tennessee commit Dylan Loy (2023, Sevierville, Tenn.) was very impressive in the start for 5 Star National 17u Black in the semifinals. Loy finished up the outing going 5 1/3 innings, allowing only four hits and striking out six. The 6-foot-1, 175-pound left-hander offers up a good fastball that sits in the mid-80s. The heater ran up to 88 mph in the early going with some arm-side run on it. A slider was mixed in effectively and kept the hitters honest as he could land it for strikes and get them fishing with it. The Sevierville native hides the ball well out of the crossfire delivery. The arm action is long and quick with above average arm speed. Really like the stuff on the mound and the ability to command the ball to both sides of the plate with all pitches.
